Our scripture-inspired craft kit this fall is our slingshot. 1 Samuel 17 tells the story of David and Goliath. Before you complete your kit, we encourage you to read 1 Samuel 17 and pray for God to speak to you through His word and for guidance as you minister to your little one. As we prepared this retelling, verse 47 stood out. “And everyone will know that the Lord does not need weapons to rescue His people. It is His battle, not ours. The Lord will give you to us.” Oh to have this kind of confidence when we are facing our giants. David trusted fully in God’s power, and that trust encouraged him to stand up against Goliath. He knew  that God was in control and the battle was His.
